Huddersfield Town Hall ready to host the Yorkshire Regional Championships

53 bands will converge on the Town Hall, Huddersfield to compete across five sections for the honour of being crowned Yorkshire Champion.

The current Yorkshire Champion is Brighouse & Rastrick, and they will be defending their title in the Championship Section on the Sunday afternoon against 15 of the country’s best brass bands including Black Dyke, Grimethorpe Colliery, Carlton Main Frickley Colliery, Rothwell Temperance and so on. Visitors from throughout Great Britain, Ireland and Europe will converge on Huddersfield to listen to the finest Yorkshire brass bands compete against one another - the competition is closely fought, and the playing is passionate and can be breathtaking!

The Championship Section bands will compete for the glory of being Yorkshire Champion, as well as the opportunity to represent Yorkshire in the Championship Section Final of the National Championships to be held in the iconic Royal Albert Hall, London in October (4 bands from the Championship Section will qualify).

The Champion and Runner-Up from Sections 1-4 will have the honour of representing Yorkshire in the Sections 1-4 Finals of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain on the 26th and 27th of September at The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse.
