Skipton Brass currently has two vacancies to fill in its strong and fast-growing town band - a principal cornet to lead the band and an E-flat bass to add more weight to the bottom end.
Skipton Brass started from humble beginnings in the 1870s as Jack Guy’s Skipton Mission Band, as a temperance organisation, and is now thought to be Skipton’s oldest secular musical organisation.
The band is rapidly expanding and has recently moved to a larger rehearsal space to accommodate our new band members.Skipton Brass

Musical Director required for National Finalists in Hampshire. Having relinquished the expertise of Dr. Chris Davis to the National Champion, Otterbourne Brass (2nd Section National Finalist), based just south of Winchester, is looking for a Musical Director who will be able to continue the band’s development. In addition to some contest preparation, the ideal candidate will be able to devise programmes that will both challenge the band and entertain sell-out audiences.
