Brass Band Players for bands based in England, the Scottish Registry for bands based in Scotland and the Welsh Registry for bands based in Wales.

Registration of all players is the responsibility of the band management.

In the event of errata being issued by the publisher or composer, it will appear on our website. Please only refer to the official errata that appears on our website.

Please refer to our website for details of the percussion supplied, together with the specification of the instruments. Please note: only the percussion instruments provided onstage must be used - bands cannot bring on their own instruments. However, bands can provide their own Side Drum and Stand, and must provide their own sticks and beaters. A Percussion Plan is enclosed, which is to be submitted at the draw (along with your Seating Plan).

Please also refer to our website for details of the adjudicators for each section, which will be announced in mid-May.

The order of play will be decided by a Draw held at the Insurance Suite. Access to the Draw can be gained through the Hall of Fame Bandsman’s Entrance, via the North Car Park.

The Draw times are stated at the top of this Schedule. Please note only one representative per band will be allowed at the Draw. Band representatives are requested to be present five minutes before the Draw is scheduled to take place, and individual Draw Delegate Cards will be issued at the draw.

Please let the Section Controller know at the Draw if any of your band members need assistance on & off stage.

Coaches in the North Car Park and cars in the South Car Park, and then through the Hall of Fame entrance for band players. A Kapitol Promotions representative will guide your band to the changing area, and bands drawn 1 to 6 should proceed to their changing room (Gold Cup/Festival Suite) immediately after the draw has taken place.

Prior to your performance, a Kapitol Promotions representative will escort your band to the Sovereign Room for a short warm-up period (music stands will be provided). From there, you will be directed to the registration point. Bands are asked to vacate the dressing rooms as soon as they have played, taking their instruments and personal belongings with them.

The Kapitol Promotions Stage Management Team will set the stage for your band. Please listen to their instructions, as this will help with the efficient running of the event.

The bands drawn number 1 in Section Two and Section Three will be required to play the National Anthem (No. 61 in the Red Hymn Book).

Please note that whilst the starting times for Section Two and Three are accurate, the times for Sections Four and One will follow the results and prize presentations, and bands must be available to play immediately following these presentations.

The estimated times are below:

Section Two will end at 14:45           Section Four will start at 15:00 and end at 21:00

Section Three will end at 15:45         Section One will start at 16:00 and end at 22:00

The Contest Controller may be able to give more accurate times on the day.

The compilation of the results will be undertaken by the Section Controller, a member of the management team, and may be verified by a band representative appointed at the draw. The results will be announced as: 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, Best Instrumentalist & 1st, and the prizes will be presented at the end of each section.
